Checkout.com is Britain’s most valuable private fintech company. They enable businesses to move, manage, and optimise money by acting as an end-to-end Payment Services Provider.
"Our mission is to deliver innovative solutions that flex to your needs, valuable insights that help you get smart about your payments' performance, and expertise you can count on as you navigate the complexities of an ever-shifting world."
As the lead designer of the motion graphic design in-house team, I was tasked with expanding the company's brand world by creating a dynamic motion and graphic system.
The growing need for motion design at Checkout, especially within the Marketing and Brand departments, led us to summarise the key animation elements in one overarching set of principles. These guidelines are meant to consolidate their approach while highlighting opportunities for flexibility and exploration. By following these motion guidelines, in-house and external motion graphic designers have all the necessary tools to create consistent animated content.
The motion design system was created with the idea of pushing the overall visual language to be ever more innovative, creative and forward-looking, aligning with the company’s ambition to position itself as a leading fintech player. It can also be used to generate highly engaging and informative animated content such as brand videos, explainers, and GIFs that will increase brand awareness and online interactions.
Role: Lead motion graphic designer, motion design, graphic design, art direction, edit.
